What we actually deliver

Every engagement ends in a written plan you can hand to your accountant, employer or HR team. The practice does not manage investments, prepare tax filings, place insurance, or take any share of your compensation. The scope is the planning, and the output is the plan document itself.

01 — Relocation Budget Review

One 90-minute working session, for households that have the offer in hand and need a budget skeleton quickly.

In the session we lay out the assignment timeline, the tax-residency trigger, the structure of Taipei housing deposits, and the costs still on the books at home. The output is a one-page budget skeleton plus a short list of the choices that will shift the numbers over the following year.

Scope: one session, one written budget skeleton, one follow-up email. Best fit: households 1–6 months out from the move date.

02 — Expat Household Planning (ongoing)

A rolling year-long engagement for households that have just landed in Taipei and need the budget to hold up against what actually happens.

Each quarter we re-run the cash-flow projection against your real numbers, bring forward the residency and schooling choices that are coming due, and put a firm closing date on the home-country household rather than letting it run on.

Scope: quarterly working sessions, a rolling 12-month cash-flow plan, email access between sessions for time-sensitive decisions. Best fit: households in the first year after arrival.

03 — Pre-Assignment Budget Build

Where the package is still in negotiation. We build a 24-month Taipei cost baseline against the offer on the table — deposit multiples, school fees, and the tax positions that standard package calculators tend to skip — so you walk into the negotiation with the real figures, before the offer is signed.

Scope: one modelling session, a written 24-month cost baseline, a short list of package points worth renegotiating. Best fit: households with an offer in progress, before acceptance.

How sessions run

Sessions run by video call or in person at the Neihu office. The opening session is a working conversation: bring the assignment letter, the proposed lease, and the points that feel unresolved. There is no sales process before or after it.

Pricing

Pricing is quoted per engagement after the first contact, because the scope varies with household size, timeline and the number of jurisdictions involved. A fixed fee is sent in writing before any session is booked — no hourly billing, no open-ended commitments.
